Diagnostic Value of Combined Detection of Serum Cal citonin and Carcinoembryonic Antigen for Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma

Abstract
Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of combined detection of serum calcitonin and carcinoembryonic antigen for medullary thyroid carcinoma(MTC).Methods 85 MTC patients admitted to our hospital from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected as the study group,and 85 healthy people with physical examination in our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.The serum calcitonin and carcinoembryonic antigen levels of the two groups were detected and compared,and the diagnostic efficacy of single and combined detection of serum calcitonin and carcinoembryonic antigen for MTC was analyzed.Results The serum calcitonin and carcinoembryonic antigen levels of the study group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).ROC curve results showed that the AUC of single and combined detection of serum calcitonin and carcinoembryonic antigen in the diagnosis of MTC were 0.965,0.956 and 0.997,respectively,and the diagnostic efficacy of combined detection was higher.Conclusions The serum calcitonin and carcinoembryonic antigen levels of MTC patients are abnormally high,and the combined detection of serum calcitonin and carcinoembryonic antigen is of high value in the diagnosis of MTC,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.关键词
