Study on flow field characteristics of Li-ion battery electrode film drying with hole-array impinging jet

Abstract
To solve the problem of coating edge curling and cracking caused by excessive concentration of return air flow in traditional drying equipment for Li-ion battery electrode film,a hole-array impact jet drying type and its basic design principles suitable for Li-ion battery electrode film drying process is proposed.A geometric model for the hole-array configuration(the main flow sharing component in the drying chest)was established using SolidWorks software.The steady-state flow field was obtained using the finite volume method,verifying the correctness of the hole-array configuration design concept and the rationality of the new return air method design.Qualitative and quantitative analysis was conducted on the distribution characteristics of velocity and temperature fields of hole-array structures with different densities,and the optimal array structure was determined under conventional drying conditions.The results indicate that increasing the density of hole-array arrangement can improve the uniformity of flow field distribution on the surface of the drying chest and electrode within the allowable range of process and operating conditions.Furthermore,it can improve the drying heat exchange efficiency and providing reference for the improvement of li-ion battery drying equipment and drying quality.关键词
