Livestock industry carbon emissions in China:Connotation characteristics,research progress and prospective implications
摘要
Abstract
To review the progress of research on carbon emissions from livestock industry in China,literature review method is employed in this study.The"connotation characteristics-research progress-prospective revelation"of livestock carbon emissions is taken as the logical main line.Based on the analysis of the connotative characteristics of carbon emissions in the livestock industry,this study summarizes current research progress and subsequently derives prospective implications for future studies.The results show that:1)Livestock industry carbon emissions exhibit unique features in terms of sources,quantities and spatial-temporal distribution patterns.2)Research progress on livestock carbon emissions can be summarized into five main areas,which are quantification of livestock carbon emissions,characteristics of their spatial-temporal evolution,environmental efficiency under carbon emission constraints,influencing factors,and mitigation measures.3)Future research could be further expanded in three directions including standardizing accounting practices for livestock industry carbon emissions,focusing on the adoption behavior of pollution reduction and carbon mitigation technologies by livestock farmers,and comprehensively considering both the carbon sink function of grasslands and carbon emissions from the livestock industry.关键词
