Abstract
Objective:To analyze the impact of preserving the left colon artery during laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer on rectal cancer patients.Method:Eighty patients with rectal cancer admitted to the Gastrointestinal Department of the First Hospital of Nanping City,Fujian Province from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. All patients underwent laparoscopic radical resection for rectal cancer. The control group did not retain the left colon artery during surgery, while the observation group retained the left colon artery during surgery. The surgical outcomes, postoperative recovery, gastrointestinal hormones,T lymphocyte subsets, and complications between the two groups were compared.Result:There were no significant differences in the operation situation(intraoperative blood loss, operation time, number of lymph node dissection),postoperative recovery(anal exhaust time, catheter indwelling time, hospitalization time)and complications between two groups(P>0.05).3 d after surgery, the MTL of the observation group was(95.36±10.53)pg/mL,and the GAS was(268.97±15.49)pg/mL,which were higher than(72.48±8.69)pg/mL and(233.64±13.20)pg/mL of the control group, the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05).Before surgery and 3 d after surgery, there were no significant differences in the levels of CD3+,CD4+and CD8+between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Preservation of the left colon artery during laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer can promote postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery in patients with rectal cancer, with no serious complications and minimal impact on their immune function.关键词
