Effects of ALA-PDT Combined with Tacrolimus Ointment on Symptoms Remission Time and Quality of Life in Patients with Acne Rosacea

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of 5-aminolevulinic acid-photodynamic therapy(ALA-PDT)combined with Tacrolimus Ointment on symptoms remission time and quality of life in patients with acne rosacea.Method:A total of 90 patients with acne rosacea admitted to the 73rd Group Military Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from June 2020 to August 2023 were divided into two groups by random number table method:control group(n=45)and observation group(n=45).The control group was treated with Tacrolimus Ointment,and the observation group was treated with ALA-PDT combined with Tacrolimus Ointment for 4 weeks.The efficacy,symptoms remission time,symptoms integrals and quality of life[dermatology life quality index(DLQI)]were compared between the two groups.Result:Compared with the control group,the total effective rate of the observation group was higher,and the symptoms remission time were earlier,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,symptoms integrals and DLQI scores of both groups were decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:ALA-PDT combined with Tacrolimus Ointment in the treatment of acne rosacea can improve the curative effect,shorten the remission time of symptoms,and improve the quality of life of patients.关键词
