Genetic polymorphism of Microsporum canis isolated from children with tinea capitis in Urumqi and Aksu regions of Xinjiang

Abstract
Objective To study the genetic polymorphism of Microsporum canis isolated from patients with tinea capitis in Urumqi and Aksu regions of Xinjiang.Methods Genetic polymorphism analysis of Microsporum canis isolated from chil-dren with tinea capitis in two regions of Xinjiang based on multilocus microsatellite typing technique.Results Multilocus microsatellite typing classified 40 strains of Microsporum canis into a total of 17 genotypes.Eleven microsatellite loci can de-tect two to four alleles each.Cluster analysis classified the 40 strains into six categories.Conclusions Micrococcus canis in Urumqi and Aksu regions of Xinjiang has certain genetic polymorphisms,among which strains from Aksu in southern Xin-jiang have both their unique genotypes and the same genotypes as strains from Urumqi in northern Xinjiang.关键词
