Characterization and Value Reproduction of the Types of Public Spaces along the City Wall Site of Changxu Section in Suzhou Ancient City
摘要
Abstract
As important boundary spaces within the ancient city,the public spaces along the city wall site of Suzhou Ancient City are of great significance for wall protection,scene shaping,and cultural continuity.The paper selects the public spaces along Changxu section of the city wall site as the research object,takes the typological and public life analysis methods as the entry point,and comprehensively analyzes the current types and crowd activities of public spaces.From the three aspects of material elements,crowd activities,and cultural identity,the paper sorts out and further divides the public spaces to clarify the typical characteristics of such spaces.Finally,based on the concept of value reproduction,the strategies and considerations for venue creation and vitality enhancement are proposed to address the shortcomings behind the features.关键词
