Abstract

Mixing excess sludge is an effective way to improve the substrate of bioretention system.Nature maintenance can improve the stability of the excess sludge substrate and reduce the risk of substrate pollutant release.This article analyzes the changes in the physicochemical properties and pollutant content of excess sludge substrate in different nature maintenance time,and explores the impact of nature maintenance on the stormwater hydrological performance and pollutant removal efficiency of the bioretention system.The results indicate that nature maintenance can enhance the stormwater hydrological performance and remove typical runoff pollutants of excess sludge substrate bioretention systems;after 20 days of nature maintenance,the total runoff reduction rate of the excess sludge substrate bioremediation system increased by 16.91%;based on the Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water(GB 3838-2002),the concentrations of NH4+-N,TN,TP and COD in the effluent meet the water quality standards for Class IV,V,III and IV,respectively,and average effluent concentration is 1.33,1.83,0.194 and 23.38 mg/L.
