Growth and uptake of antimony by alfalfa under antimony stress by the Sarocladium kiliense fungus ZJ-1

Abstract
With the development of modern society,antimony pollution is increasingly serious.How to quickly and efficiently remove antimony in the environment is an important problem to be solved.The remediation of soil antimony pollution is an emerging and effective method.To investigate the response of alfalfa to the addition of an antimony-tolerant fungus under antimony stress,and to investigate the effects of the Sarocladium kiliense fungus ZJ-1 and antimony on the growth of the plant and the expression pattern of related genes is the purpose of this study.An indoor pot experiment was used to illustrate the growth of alfalfa of different antimony content with the addition of the fungus ZJ-1 and with the addition of the inactivated fungus ZJ-1 in terms of plant height,dry weight,antimony content distribution and content.Analysis of alfalfa response to antimony and fungi was made using transcriptome data.The results show that with antimony content of 50 and 2 000 mg/kg,respectively,the addition of the fungus ZJ-1 promotes the growth of alfalfa,with a significant increase in aboveground and belowground biomass of 6.23 and 2.43 times.The addition of fungus ZJ-1 significantly reduces the uptake of antimony by alfalfa plants above and below ground by 1.17 and 4.66 times with an antimony content of 2 000 mg/kg.Transcriptome analysis shows that the alfalfa ribosomal pathway is significantly down-regulated under antimony stress,and the addition of the fungus ZJ-1 results in a significant of up-regulation of the alfalfa ribosomal pathway,and a significant of up-regulation of the ribosomal proteins L35 and L5,with the translation process,and the promotion of protein synthesis,which is in accordance with the situation that the biomass of the plant is increased.Plant-pathogen interaction genes are down-regulated,plant hormone signaling pathways are altered,plant photosynthesis D1 and D2 protein expression are down-regulate,and ATP synthesis is reduced,which may be the reason for promoting the increase in plant biomass and reducing the amount of heavy metal uptake by the plant.The fungus ZJ-1 is able to promote the increase in biomass of alfalfa plants and have no significant effect on plant height of alfalfa plants.Transcriptome analysis reveals that the addition of the fungus ZJ-1 promotes ribosome expression and protein synthesis and the increase in biomass of alfalfa plants with an antimony content of 2 000 mg/kg.This paper focuses on the effects of the fungus ZJ-1 on alfalfa plant growth and plant uptake of heavy metals under antimony stress.关键词
