摘要

Abstract

Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)is commonly applied in geotechnical engineering research.By scanning and imaging the microstructures of rock samples,it is possible to obtain magnified images of the rock surface topography,which can be used to study the permeability of rocks.The utilization of SEM to observe the microstructural characteristics of ores can assess their permeability,which will provide a basis for mining operations and mine drainage work.This work conducted SEM experiments on the pores and fractures of rocks from the Zaozigou gold deposit in Gansu Province,and obtained microscopic images of the mine rocks.The MATLAB software was utilized for programming to perform binary processing on electron microscopy scanning images,and the optimal threshold Tb was obtained.Numerical simulation was also conducted by using the COMSOL Multiphysics software,in order to observe the seepage pathways and connectivity of mine rocks.Results indicate that the analysis of SEM images for mine rocks from the Zaozigou gold deposit corresponds well with the theoretical calculations.Different rock types from this deposit generally exhibit low porosity and permeability.For different rock samples with similar porosity,fractal dimension can be used as an effective indicator to distinguish their pore structure complexity.The numerical simulation of micro pore permeability using the COMSOL Multiphysics software shows poor connectivity of rock samples,resulting in poor water yield in the regional strata.
