Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of manual reduction and splint external fixation combined with external application of Sihuang Powder in the treatment of supracondylar fracture of humerus.Methods A total of 80 patients with supracondylar fracture of humerus admitted to the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from March 2020 to April 2024 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into the control group(40 cases)and the observation group(40 cases).The control group was treated with manual reduction+plaster external fixation,and the observation group was treated with manual reduction+splint external fixation+external application of Sihuang Powder.The excellent and good rate of clinical treatment,elbow joint function,elbow joint activity,treatment time,fracture healing time and complications were compared between the two groups.Results The excellent and good rate of clinical treatment in the observation group(95.00％)was higher than that in the control group(80.00％),the dif-ference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The Mayo elbow performance score(MEPS)of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment,and the MEPS of the observation group after treatment were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The elbow pronation,supination,and flexion and extension of the observation group were bigger than those of the control group,the treatment time and fracture healing time were shorter than those of the control group,and the total incidence of complications(5.00％)was lower than that of the con-trol group(20.00％),the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The effect of manual reduction and splinting external fixation combined with external application of Sihuang Powder in the treatment of supracondylar fracture of humerus is ideal,which can improve the elbow joint function,promote fracture healing,reduce the incidence of complica-tions,and accelerate the rehabilitation process,which is worthy of clinical application.关键词
