Effect of preconception screening on pregnancy outcome and offspring growth in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of preconception screening on pregnancy outcome and offspring growth in pa-tients with subclinical hypothyroidism.Methods A total of 120 patients with subclinical hypothyroidism who were screened during pregnancy and treated in Jiujiang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into study group(60 cases)and control group(60 cases)according to the screening results.The study group was screened for subclinical hypothyroidism during ready pregnancy,and the control group for sub-clinical hypothyroidism during pregnancy.Hormone levels,pregnancy outcomes and offspring development were compared between the two groups.Results There were no statistical significances in the levels of thyroid stimulating hormone and serum free thyroid hormone between the two groups after initial screening,7 days after intervention,in the third trimester and before delivery(P＞0.05),while the levels of thyroid stimulating hormone at 7 days after intervention,in the third trimester and before delivery were lower than those of the first screening,with statistical significances(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the londition of adverse pregnancy between the two groups(P＞0.05).The weight,length,head circumference and growth quotient of the offspring in the study group were higher than those in the control group at after birth 3 and 6 months of age,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Pre-pregnancy screen-ing and intervention can improve the growth and neuropsychological development of subclinical hypothyroidism patients,which is worthy of clinical promotion.关键词
