A novel mechanical characteristics tester for rapid switching power distribution devices

Abstract
Rapid vacuum switches offer advantages such as short opening and closing times and low dispersion,making them suitable for power systems and rapid-switching power distribution devices.Traditional mechanical characteristic testing devices for high-voltage switchgear typically have a sampling rate of 0.1 ms,which limits their measurement accuracy and fails to meet the demands for precise testing of the mechanical characteristics of rapid vacuum switches.Moreover,when testing the switching characteristics of rapid switching power distribution devices,it is often necessary to remove the primary connections at the switch interface,causing significant inconvenience for field operations.Therefore,it is essential to develop new technologies and applications for on-site testing of the mechanical characteristics of rapid vacuum switches.This paper presents a novel mechanical characteristic tester that utilizes high frequency alternating current signals as a source,enabling the detection of mechanical characteristics of rapid vacuum switches without the need to dismantle components like reactors.This significantly enhances testing efficiency and provides experimental comparisons with traditional mechanical characteristic testers.Test results indicate that the novel tester achieves higher measurement accuracy than traditional testers,with a sampling rate precise to 0.01 ms.Testing results using a high-frequency AC source are comparable to those obtained with a DC source,allowing for direct detection in circuits with reactors.关键词
