摘要

Abstract

With the widespread application of renewable energy and the continuous improvement of modernization requirements for power grids,FeCr flow batteries are considered one of the preferred technologies for large-scale long-term energy storage due to their high safety,environmental friendliness,and long lifespan.As an electrochemical reaction site,the specific surface area and active site parameters of electrodes have a significant impact on the performance and reliability of batteries.Electrode modification plays a significant role in enhancing the current density and energy conversion efficiency of FeCr flow batteries.Firstly,the main electrode materials used in FeCr flow batteries are introduced in detail in this paper,and the reaction mechanisms of FeCr flow batteries are discussed.Then,a anslysis and summary of electrode modification methods are provided from two aspects:modification of the electrode itself and the use of catalysts.Finally,the current commercial status of FeCr flow batteries is summarized,and future research directions for FeCr flow battery electrode modification are prospected.
