Survey on oral health status,oral health behaviors,and utilization of oral health services among junior high school students in Huangpu District,Shanghai

Abstract
Objective To investigate the oral health status,oral health behavior,and utilization of oral health services among junior middle school students in Huangpu District of Shanghai,and to provide evidence for the development of children's oral public health policies.Methods Oral health examinations and questionnaires were conducted among 2771 children from 5 public junior middle schools in Huangpu District of Shanghai from 2021 to 2023.The demand and utilization status of oral health services of junior middle school students were analyzed descriptively.Results The prevalence of dental caries among junior school students in Huangpu District of Shanghai was 22.7%,with 17.4%for males and 28.4%for females.The decay missing filling tooth was 0.43,with 0.30 for males and 0.57 for females.The constituent ratio of dental caries filling was 77.2%,with 76.9%in males and 77.3%in females.The outpatient rate of department of stomatology was 56.6%in one year.Conclusion The utilization rate of oral health services of middle school students in Huangpu District of Shanghai is higher than the national level,and the prevalence of caries,oral health behavior,and oral health knowledge are better than the national level.关键词
