Abstract
Objective To investigate and analyze the epidemiological characteristics of an outbreak of influenza in a primary school in Pukou District of Nanjing,and provide reference for the investigation and treatment of similar incidents in the future.Methods An epidemiological investigation was conducted on an influenza outbreak in a primary school in Pukou District of Nanjing from October 25 to November 7,2022.Throat swab specimens were collected from 10 cases,and reverse transcription PCR was used to detect the viral nucleic acid.Results A total of 37 influenza cases were reported in this outbreak,with a prevalence rate of 2.70%.The cases were mainly concentrated in class 1(15)and class 2(15),with obvious clustering.Out of 10 throat swab specimens,five tested positive for the nucleic acid of the influenza virus,all identified as A H3 subtype.The nucleic acid test results of the death case showed that influenza A H3 virus was positive,and no other highly pathogenic pathogens were found in the respiratory multi-pathogen test.Conclusion Epidemiological investigation and laboratory tests show that the outbreak is an influenza A H3 subtype outbreak.关键词
