Abstract

Ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazole chloride([BMIM]Cl)has widespread applications in dissolving,plasticizing,and modifying processing of cellulose materials,but[BMIM]Cl has certain biological toxicity.Therefore the content detection is of great significance for the processing of cotton fabrics.In order to detect the content of[BMIM]Cl in cotton fabrics,the article studied the extraction of[BMIM]Cl in cotton fabrics using ultrasonic method with water,methanol,and eth-anol as solvents.Then,the absorbance of the extracted solution was measured by UV spectros-copy,indirectly determining the content of[BMIM]Cl in the fabrics.The results show that the solvent,liquid ratio,temperature,time,ultrasonic power,and number of extractions all affect the extraction rates of[BMIM]Cl.Among them,water is the preferred solvent for[BMIM]Cl extraction.Under the same conditions,the smaller the liquid ratio,the higher the extraction temperature,the longer the extraction time,or the higher the ultrasonic power,the higher the extraction rate of[BMIM]Cl.The extraction rate of[BMIM]Cl in cotton fabrics can reach up to 90%after three times of extraction.The detection of[BMIM]Cl in fabrics by ultraviolet spec-troscopy has the advantages of high sensitivity,simplicity and rapidity.
