Abstract

By simulating and analyzing the hydraulic and pressure characteristics of the water conveyance system in Weishan three-line ship lock works of Beijing-Hangzhou Canal as well as the flow conditions for navigation and ship berthing and local flow conditions,a scientific pattern of water conveyance system was determined and an appropriate design plan was carried out.3D mathematical model and VOF model were built to simulate 3D hydrodynamic variation characteristics of the water conveyance system.The results showed that the inertia height of water filled in the ship lock chamber is 0.2 m or less which met the requirements of specifications when both sides of the valve were opened at a constant speed ranging from 4 minutes to 7 minutes under the condition of maximum design water head at 4.0 m.The patterns of energy dissipation chamber and pond could fully reduce the energy of water at high speed in the corridor by colliding and blending on a flat facade,and the water kept relatively good flow state as a whole.For 2 000 t ships at different anchorages,the maximum water surface gradient of the ship lock chamber under different water filling conditions was 1.18 ‰,which appeared in the middle of the upper section of the ship lock chamber,and could be converted into the maximum longitudinal hydro-static pressure of 31 kN.The above data met the requirements of specifications.
