Abstract
Objective:To assess the therapeutic efficacy of Sanhuang Jiedu Decoction on pericoronitis.Methods:A total of 92 patients diagnosed with acute pericoronitis and treated in our hospital from April 2019 to November 2021 were enrolled in this randomized controlled trial.They were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 46 cases in each group.The control group received routine treatment of Western medical,while the observation group was administered Sanhuang Jiedu Decoction.They were treated for three days.Outcomes assessed and compared included clinical efficacy,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome score,microflora composition within the pericoronal pocket,ESR,and CRP levels.Results:After treatment,the observation group exhibited a significantly higher total clinical effective rate(97.83%)compared with that(82.61%)of the control group.The TCM syndrome score,bacterial load,prevalence of gram-negative bacteria and spirochaetae,as well as CRP and ESR levels,were all found to be lower in the observation group than those in the control group.The proportion of gram-positive bacteria was higher in the observation group.These differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).In the control group,there were 2 cases with nausea and vomiting,1 case with diarrhrea,1 case of dizziness;In the observation group,1 case with nausea and vomiting,2 cases with diarrhrea,the adverse reactions between the two groups were not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Sanhuang Jiedu Decoction is very effective in regulating the microflora within pericoronal pockets,mitigating inflammatory responses,and ameliorating clinical symptoms associated with pericoronitis.关键词
