Effect of Acupuncture as Adjuvant Therapy on Postoperative Rehabilitation and Complications of Gynecological Laparoscopic Surgery Under General Anesthesia

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of acupuncture as adjuvant therapy on postoperative rehabilitation and complications of gynecological laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia,to improve therapeutic efficacy and surgical safe-ty.Methods A total of 100 patients undergoing gynecological laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia treated from February 2022 to February 2024 were selected and divided into the acupuncture group(n=50)and the conventional group(n=50)by random number table method.The conventional group received conventional intervention after surgery,while the acupuncture group received needle-assisted intervention on the basis of the conventional group.All patients were treated until discharge.After intervention,the therapeutic effect of patients,the postoperative recovery conditions[postoperative exhaust time,postoperative defecation time,pain duration,incision healing time,the first time of off-bed activity after surgery,dura-tion of postoperative hospitalization],visual analogue scale(VAS)pain score at the end of surgery,1 day after surgery,and 3 days after surgery,as well as traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome integrals and incidence of postoperative compli-cations before and after intervention,were compared between the conventional group and the acupuncture group.Results The total effective rate of acupuncture group was higher than that of conventional group(P＜0.05).After intervention,the postoperative exhaust time,postoperative defecation time,pain duration,incision healing time,the first time of off-bed activi-ty after surgery and duration of postoperative hospitalization in acupuncture group were all shorter than those in conventional group(P＜0.01).At 1 d after surgery,the VAS pain score of acupuncture group was lower than that of conventional group(P＜0.05).After intervention,the TCM syndrome integrals of both groups were decreased,which were lower in acupuncture group than in conventional group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).After intervention,the total incidence of postoperative complications in acupuncture group was lower than that in conventional group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture assisted treatment can effectively promote the postoperative rehabilitation of patients undergoing gynecological laparoscopic surgery under general an-esthesia,reduce the postoperative pain,improve the TCM symptoms,reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and improve surgical safety.关键词
