Pathogenesis and comprehensive treatment strategies for chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome

Abstract
Chronic prostatitis/Chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS)is a common and frequently occurring disease in urol-ogy.Its clinical symptoms are diverse,including lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS),pelvic pain,sexual dysfunction,and neuropsy-chiatric symptoms,which seriously endanger the health of the male urogenital system and affect the quality of life of patients.Due to the lack of specific laboratory diagnostic indicators for CP/CPPS,many patients have unclear diagnoses and unsatisfactory treatment out-comes.Establishing a diagnosis and treatment evaluation system centered on clinical symptoms can better reflect the disease's complex and diverse nature,align with the goals of improving patients'clinical symptoms and enhancing their quality of life,and contribute to the accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment of the disease.This article starts from the perspective of clinical symptoms of CP/CPPS,classifies and elaborates on common clinical symptoms(LUTS,pelvic pain,and sexual dysfunction)in CP/CPPS patients,and focuses on discussing the latest treatment progress and related mechanisms for this symptom,in order to deepen the understanding of the dis-ease and provide new ideas for its treatment and scientific research.关键词
