摘要

Abstract

The protective mechanism of molten metal splashing protection fabric was explored.Its influencing factors were experimented and analyzed.By analyzing the characteristics of molten metal and the mechanical&heat transfer effects of fabrics under the action of molten metal,the protective mechanism against molten metal splashing was revealed.The impact resistance against molten metal of different fabrics were tested.Relative analyses were performed from fiber raw materials and fabric weave.The experimental results showed that fiber category was the main element affecting the impact resistance of fabrics against molten metal,fabric weave was secondary factor.The greater the tightness was and the smaller the tissue coefficient was,the better the impact resistance of fabrics to molten metal was.The effect of thickness on fabrics was not obvious.It is considered that the key to resistance with molten metal splashing was to realize slippage and thermal insulation of fabric.Fabric slippage could be improved by comprehensively considering from three aspects including fiber compatibility,fabric tightness,and fabric weave.Then the development of high grade protective clothing against molten metal splashing could be realized.
