The Path of Improving the Innovation Performance of"Small Giant"Enterprises in Guangdong Province

Abstract
Innovation is the core of"Specialized and New"enterprises(SMEs),which is the driving force of high-quality development of SMEs in China.The fsQCA method was used to study the pathways of high and non-high innovation performance of the sample of 42"small giant"enterprises in Guangdong Province.It is found that there are five paths to high innovation performance and seven paths to non-high innovation performance.Among them,there are four different ways to achieve high innovation performance,namely researcher-digital technology-driven,researcher-technology background-driven,R&D investment-digital technology-driven,and researcher-enterprise scale driven.Through the comparative analysis of different paths,it is found that the structure of technical personnel plays the most critical role in achieving high innovation performance of"small giant"enterprises in Guangdong Province,while the technical background of CEO and enterprise scale play relatively important roles.The findings provide theoretical references for the improvement of the innovation performance of the"small giant"enterprises in Guangdong Province and help the"small giant"enterprises to achieve high-quality development.关键词
