Comparative Analysis of Mazu Belief Culture in the West of Guangdong
摘要
Abstract
Mazu originated from Fujian,and the belief in Mazu was introduced into Guangdong from Fujian during the Song Dynasty,which formed the belief and custom in the west of Guangdong.Through field research,this paper discusses the development and evolution of Mazu belief in western Guangdong and analyzes the characteristics of Mazu belief culture in western Guangdong.It compares Mazu belief culture in Zhanjiang with Mazu belief culture in Yangjiang and finds out the regional differences of Mazu belief culture in western Guangdong in terms of the scale of believers,the way of introduction,the way of worship and the place of worship.关键词
