Publicity of"Increasing Production and Saving Food"campaign in Party newspaper in early days of People's Republic of China:A study based on Jiangxi Daily

Abstract
The"Increasing Production and Saving Food"campaign was a large-scale mass movement aimed at resto-ring and developing production,led by the Party and the government.As the main channel for the people of Jiangxi to understand this campaign,Jiangxi Daily played multiple roles such as a weathervane,a booster,a supervisor,and a propagandist.It publicized the policies of the Party on increasing production and saving food,created a strong at-mosphere of striving to be the best,corrected erroneous tendencies in the movement,and reported the significant effects achieved by the movement.It effectively mobilized the people of Jiangxi to participate widely in production and construction in various fields,which played an important role in promoting the smooth progress of the move-ment,stimulating the patriotic enthusiasm of the people,and promoting the construction of the cadre team.This pa-per examines the publicity of the"Increasing Production and Saving Food"campaign in the early days of the Peo-ple's Republic of China in Jiangxi Daily.It not only allows us to deeply understand the role of party newspapers and periodicals in publicity and public opinion guidance but also provides historical lessons and practical enlighten-ment for the central tasks of the Party and national construction in the new era.关键词
