Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of acupuncture combined with Qufeng Tongluo Decoction on convalescent facial nerve paralysis(FNP).Methods:A total of 84 patients with FNP admitted to Nanfeng County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2019 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into a control group and a study group according to random number table method,with 42 cases in each group.The control group was treated with acupuncture,and the study group was treated with Qufeng Tongluo decoction on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effect,facial nerve function,facial electromyography index,degree of facial dysfunction and TCM symptom score were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of 95.24%in the study group was higher than 80.95%in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of Portmann and Toronto Facial Nerve Grading System Scale in both groups were higher than those before treatment,and the study group was higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the incubation period of the orbicularis oculi muscle,orbicular muscle action potentials of two groups were shorter than before the treatment,M wave amplitude were greater than those before the treatment,and the incubation period of the study group were shorter than the control group,M wave amplitude of the study group were greater than those in the control group,the differences had statistical significance(P＜0.05);after treatment,the scores of all parts of Facial Disability Index Scale in the study group were higher than the control group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of various TCM symptoms in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the scores of mouth and eye skew,incomplete eyelid closure and frontal striae disappearance in the study group were lower than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with Qufeng Tongluo Decoction can improve the curative effect,accelerate the recovery of facial nerve and muscle function,and improve the degree of facial disability and symptoms in patients with FNP in convalescence.关键词
