Abstract

Against the backdrop of the in-depth advancement of ecological civilization construction,the modernization of the agricultural industry chain and supply chain has become a powerful tool to promote the green development of the animal husbandry.This paper uses panel data from 31 provinces in China from 2011 to 2022 to empirically analyze the impact of the modernization of the agricultural industry chain and supply chain on the green development of the animal husbandry.The results showed that the modernization of the agricultural industry chain and supply chain can significantly promote the green development of the animal husbandry,and this conclusion still holds after a series of endogeneity and robustness tests.The analysis of the intermediary transmission mechanism reveals that the modernization of the agricultural industry chain and supply chain can enhance green innovation capabilities and thus contribute to the green development of the animal husbandry.Therefore,it is necessary to comprehensively improve the level of modernization of the agricultural industry chain and supply chain,continuously promote green technology innovation among agricultural enterprises,establish and improve a circular and sustainable development model for the animal husbandry,and assist in the green development of the animal husbandry.
