Abstract
Objective:To compare the effects of traditional PICC catheter and tunnel PICC catheter on the retention rate of venous access and treatment compliance of tumor patients after long-term treatment.Methods:From Feb-ruary 2022 to May 2024,70 tumor patients who received PICC catheter treatment in the Fifth People's Hospital of Zhuhai City,Guangdong Province were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 35 cases in each group.The control group used traditional PICC catheter,and the observation group used tunnel PICC catheter.The retention time of venous access、incidence of catheter-related complications、treatment compliance and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Results:The retention time of venous access in the observation group was significantly longer than that in the control group,the incidence of catheter-related complications was lower than that in the control group,and the scores of treatment compliance and quality of life were significantly higher than those in the control group,P<0.05.Conclusion:Compared with traditional PICC catheter,tunnel PICC cathe-ter has obvious advantages in improving the retention rate of venous access,reducing related complications,impro-ving treatment compliance and quality of life of tumor patients after long-term treatment.关键词
