摘要

Abstract

Temporomandibular joint(TMJ)is a left-right joint with rotation and sliding movement of the maxillofacial re-gion,which is one of the most complex joints in the human body,and participates in speech,swallowing,mastication and expression.Finite element analysis(FEA)is one of the important means in biomechanical research,and with the popular-ization and development of computer technology,FEA is becoming more and more mature,and has been widely used in the study of TMJ.In this paper,we will review the research progress of the construction and application of finite element model of TMJ from the following aspects:geometric model construction of TMJ,simulation of biomechanical behavior,simulation and diagnosis of diseases,biomechanical evaluation of prosthesis and implant,and the effect of orthognathic surgery on TMJ.
