摘要

Abstract

Currently,hypocalcaemia in dairy cows is most prevalent in high-yielding cows during parturition,and has become a highly prevalent nutritional and metabolic disease in periparturient dairy cows.Cows with hypocalcaemia experience a rapid decline in their blood calcium concentration during the periparturient period,which can manifest as lameness and postpartum paralysis.The incidence of hypocalcaemia in dairy cows has been linked to an increased risk of developing other diseases,including ketosis,true gastric displacement,foetal clothing inappropriateness,mastitis and a number of other conditions.These in turn have been shown to affect milk production,the productive life of dairy cows,increase the mortality rate and cause significant economic losses to the farming industry.In light of the underlying causes and mechanisms of hypocalcaemia in dairy cows,this paper presents a review of the diagnostic methods and nutritional control measures,with the aim of providing a reference point for the prevention of hypocalcaemia in dairy cows.
