Study on the Pathogenesis and Treatment of Sjögren's Syndrome Based on"Yigui Sharing the Same Source"

Abstract
The primary affected areas in Sjögren's syndrome(SS)are the mouth and eyes,with the basic pathogenesis characterized by the depletion of the TV and CV,decline of tiangui,and deficiency of the liver and kidney,while dryness,phlegm,stasis,and toxins per-sist throughout the course of SS."Yigui sharing the same source",also called"liver and kidney sharing the same source",originates from Huangdi's Internal Classic.This article,based on this theory,proposes that the treatment of SS should involve simultaneous treat-ment of the liver and kidney,with replenishing water to moisten wood as the primary therapeutic principle,so Effective Integration De-coction is often used.Supplementing kidney essence,clearing dryness and removing toxins is essential to restore the body's vitality,for which Fluid-Increasing Decoction is selected.Additionally,for moistening dryness,dispelling dampness,invigorating blood,and dredging collaterals,Blood-Activating and Dryness-Moistening and Fluid-Generating Decoction is adopted.In clinical practice,it requires flexible adjustments based on individual symptoms to achieve the dual objectives of strengthening healthy qi and dispelling pathogenic factors,emphasizing the advantages of TCM in"enhancing efficacy and reducing toxicity".关键词
