摘要

Abstract

With the rapid development of the new energy industry,nickel has attracted much attention as a critical metal in energy applications.With the decrease of high-grade nickel sulfide ore resources,how to efficiently develop and utilize laterite nickel ore has once again become a research hotspot.This paper analyzes the application and research status of ferronickel vulcanization technology of laterite nickel ore and oxygen-enriched side blowing to prepare high-nickel matte,and shows the problems and future developments in the production of high nickel matte from lateritic nickel ore.Compared with the industrialized ferronickel sulphidizing technology,oxygen-enriched side blowing technology using cheap coal resources owns lots of advantages,such as wide adaptability of raw materials,low investment,low operating costs,and so on.In a word,it is a very competitive processing technology to produce high nickel matte.At present,the application of oxygen-rich side-blowing technology in the treatment of laterite nickel ore is still in the pilot test stage.The production of high nickel matte by oxygen-rich side-blowing technology still requires extensive engineering trials,compared with the industrialized nickel-iron vulcanization process.
