Abstract
Chiang Kai-shek emphasized regional and factional considerations when appointing ca-dres.Chen Cheng had a triple identity of being from Zhejiang,Baoding,and Huangpu,particularly favored by Chiang Kai-shek.At the beginning of Chen Cheng's participation in the national revolu-tion,he benefited greatly from Deng Yanda and Yan Lisan,and had little contact with Chiang Kai-shek.With the changing revolutionary situation,the relationship between Chen Cheng and Chiang Kai-shek began to get closer.After being tested in various wars,Chen Cheng's ability to win bat-tles and obey military orders gradually became known to Chiang Kai-shek.Chiang Kai-shek also had the intention to cultivate Chen Cheng and tried every means to win him over.Chiang Kai-shek often criticized and rebuked Chen Cheng but never doubted his loyalty;Chen Cheng repeatedly ex-pressed dissatisfaction with Chiang Kai-shek's words and actions but ultimately obeyed him.The reason why Chen Cheng and Chiang Kai-shek were able to rely on each other and achieve coopera-tion is mainly due to the consistency of political interests and political propositions.It is of great sig-nificance to outline the early friendship between Chen Cheng and Chiang Kai-shek,and explore the initial reasons for the complex relationship between Chen Cheng and Chiang Kai-shek,which later became"like a father,brother,teacher,and friend",in order to promote the study of the rela-tionship between Chen Cheng and Chiang Kai-shek,and explore the political ecology and interper-sonal networks of the Kuomintang's high-level officials.关键词
