Abstract

The highly dispersed Pt/Al2O3 catalyst for propane dehydrogenation was prepared,and the process of regenerating Pt-based catalysts by oxychlorination using dichloroethane as a chlorine dispersant was studied.The catalyst structure before and after oxychlorination treatment was characterized by XRD,CO chemical adsorption,HAADF-STEM,and N2 adsorption-desorption.The effects of temperature,dichloroethane feed rates,oxygen concentration,and oxychlorination time on the performance of the regenerated catalyst were investigated,and the stability of the catalyst during reaction-regeneration cycles was evaluated.The results indicate that Pt particles on the sintered Pt/Al2O3 catalyst can be redispersed to sub-nano scales by dichloroethane oxychlorination treatment.The conditions to reach the optimal catalytic performance are dichloroethane feed rates of 127 μmol/min,oxygen concentration of 12%(φ),temperature of 500℃,and oxycholorination time of 60 min.The performance of the Pt/Al2O3 catalyst in these conditions remains stable during multiple reaction-regeneration cycles.
