Abstract

With the society progress and the acceleration of urbanization,the topology of water supply pipeline net-work is becoming more and more complex.The importance of water supply pipeline network management is also be-coming more and more prominent because the stable operation of the network is directly related to the sustainability of residents'life and urban development.As a digital tool for modern pipeline network management,hydraulic model is gradually developing from the developmental stage to the maturity stage.In this context,the establishment and application of hydraulic model of water supply pipeline networks have become an important ways to improve man-agement efficiency and solve water supply problems.Taking Wuhan Changjiang Water Supply Industrial Co.,Ltd.as an example,the process of establishing and applying the hydraulic model of pipeline network in regional water sup-ply management units are systematically described,and the problems and countermeasures in the modeling process are put forward,which can be used as a case reference for similar units.Through the verification of actual cases,it is further demonstrated that hydraulic model can not only be implemented smoothly,but also have significant effects in improving the operational efficiency of pipeline networks,optimizing dispatching and reducing the incidence of accidents under the premise of good basic management capability of regional water supply management units.
