Truss Photovoltaic Support for Railway Embankment Slopes:On-Site Monitoring and Economic Analysis

Abstract
Railway embankment slopes are usually distributed in suburbs,villages,and even undeveloped areas with an open environment,which have great sunlight exposure conditions for photovoltaic power generation.However,due to the proximity of these slopes to the tracks,the development of solar energy resources has been difficult for a long time.Truss photovoltaic support was proposed for the railway embankment slopes,and on-site monitoring was conducted for wind speeds at the slope top,wind pressures on photovoltaic modules,vibration accelerations of the support,and displacements and strains of key structural members.The influence of train-induced slipstream and vibration on the safety of the support was researched,and the economic advantages of truss photovoltaic support were illustrated by comparing it with the double-column photovoltaic support.The analysis results show that the train speed along the line adjacent to the monitoring site is usually less than 100 km/h,and the amplitude of the structural response of the photovoltaic support is small.Therefore,the structural safety in the environment satisfies the requirements.Compared with that of the double-column photovoltaic support in the same site,the installed capacity of the truss photovoltaic support is increased by 2~3 times,and the comprehensive unit price is reduced by 15%,which proves good economic advantages.关键词
