Spatiotemporal Characteristics of Digital Village and Its Influence on Common Prosperity of Rural Households

Abstract
Digital village is an important way to solve the development dilemma of agriculture,rural areas and farmers in the new era and promote the strategy of rural revitalization and achieve the goal of common prosperity of farmers.Based on the digital village index of counties from 2018 to 2020 and the unbalanced panel data matched with the CSS database in 2019 and 2021,this paper analyzes the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of digital village,and examines the impact and mechanism of digital village on the common prosperity of rural households.The results go as the following:The overall development level of digital vil-lage increases,showing a descending spatial distribution pattern of"eastern—central—western",and the High-High type and Low-Low type clustering characteristics are prominent,among which the digitalization of rural economy has an obvious"siphon effect".Digital village and its subdivision can significantly promote the common prosperity of rural households,among which the digitalization of rural economy is the most important.Heterogeneity analysis shows that digital village has a greater effect on the common prosperity of the central region and highly educated rural households.The results of the mediation effect test show that digital village promotes the common prosperity of rural households by promoting the digitization of social network.关键词
