Hybrid Precoding Design for Terahertz Massive MIMO Systems

Abstract
To address the challenges of high path loss and short transmission range of the existing terahertz(THz)massive multiple-input multiple-output(M-MIMO)systems,this paper proposes an improved manifold optimization(MO)hybrid precoding scheme.Through constructing the adjacent phase of the optimal phase,the convergence speed of the gradient descent algorithm is effectively improved,and the performance of THz M-MIMO systems is improved.The proposed algorithm avoids the complex Kronecker product calculations in the MO algorithms,resulting in a significant reduction in computational complexity compared to conventional MO methods.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed improved MO algorithm achieves a better achievable rate than several hybrid precoding algorithms,closely approaching the performance of the optimal fully-digital singular value decomposition precoding algorithm.关键词
