Abstract
The Three Gorges Reservoir,due to its geographical location and enormous regulating capacity,occupies the core position of the controlling reservoir group in the Yangtze River Basin.In order to fully explore the potential of Three Gorges Reservoir for flood control and disaster reduction and generation of comprehensive benefits,the Changjiang Water Resources Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources has conducted research and practice of integrated and joint operation of the reservoir group in the Yangtze Basin with the Three Gorges Reservoir as the core.The requirements for joint scheduling of reservoirs are elaborated from the aspects of flood control,water supply,power generation,shipping and ecology.Principles and objectives of joint scheduling of reservoirs are explained from the respects of scheduling for flood control,water allocation,ecology,sediment and emergency treatment.The strategy for integrated and joint scheduling are clarified.Since the implementation of integrated and joint operation of reservoirs,the mode of flood control operation has been continuously optimized;approaches of water resource utilization has been enriched;ecological protection measures have been improved;forecasting ability has been enhanced;and decision support system has been improved.Great achievements have been made in flood control,water supply,ecology,power generation,and shipping.Practical experiences for integrated and joint operation of the reservoir group are summarized,such as basin-wide integrated management,innovation driven,institutional guarantee and joint construction and sharing.关键词
