Abstract

To reveal the impact of wind turbine parameters on the noise distribution pattern of onshore wind farms in Jiangsu province and analyze the correlation,a combination of field testing and numerical simulation was adopted.Typical on-site noise tests of four typical onshore wind farms have been conducted and measured noise data under boundary conditions in which single machine capacities,wind turbine tower heights or wind farm operating wind speeds were varied.Subsequently,the data acquired in the previous step is used as boundary conditions for numerical simulation analysis.The results indicate that the noise intensity at the same position in the wind farm is positively correlated with single machine capacity,wind turbine tower height,and operating wind speed.Moreover,once the wind farm operating wind speed reaches the rated wind speed,the noise distribution range remains almost unchanged.Due to the noise superposition effect,the noise decays more slowly in where wind turbines are densely distributed.The simulation results can provide certain references for the subsequent layout of onshore wind farms in Jiangsu province.
