Abstract
The paper utilizes an Inverter DC spot welding machine to perform spot welding process tests on 1500 MPa Al-Si hot stamping steel.It investigates the welding process,joint strength,and the process window for spot welding under single-pulse,double-pulse,and triple-pulse regimes.The findings indicate that the aluminum-silicon coating on the steel plate forms an irregular alloy phase on the surface post hot forming,which impacts the resistance during spot welding.The single-pulse welding is most affected by surface and core spatter issues.The double-pulse welding exhibits improved results,achieving a stable weld nugget within a welding current range of 4.6 kA to 5.6 kA,with the spot welding process window ex-tending up to 1 kA.Triple-pulse welding not only retains the favorable weldability of the double-pulse method but also ex-pands the welding process window for steel plates to approximately 1.6 kA.Within the spot weld,a softened zone is present,characterized by a microstructure composed of tempered martensite,granular bainite,and retained austenite.The three-pulse technique results in a larger softening range compared to the double-pulse method.关键词
