Abstract

It is of great significance for the rapid and effective detection of glucose in medical diagnosis,food quality monitoring,environmental monitoring,and other related fields.three high-entropy compounds(high-entropy hydroxides,high-entropy oxides,and high-entropy sulfides)were prepared using a combination of solvothermal and calcination methods for enzyme-free glucose sensors.The structures and morphologies were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.The electrochemical performance of the glucose sensor electrodes was tested using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry to study their electrocatalytic oxidation activity towards glucose.Experimental results show that the enzyme-free glucose sensor based on high-entropy oxides has a wide linear range for glucose detection(0.4-10 mmol/L,with an R2 value of up to 0.9963),high detection sensitivity(up to 3.11 μA·mmol·L-1·cm-2),and excellent anti-interference performance towards coexisting substances in blood glucose,indicating the potential application of high-entropy compounds in the development of enzyme-free glucose sensors.
