MdMYB308:High-Temperature-Inducible Gene Suppressing Anthocyanin Accumulation in Apples
摘要
Abstract
High temperatures suppress anthocyanin synthesis in apples,thereby affecting the fruit's coloration.This study found that the expression of the MdMYB308 gene was strongly induced under high-temperature conditions.Subcellular localization experiments revealed that MdMYB308 is predominantly localized in the cell nucleus.To investigate the function of MdMYB308,we explored it using overexpression and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing techniques.The results demonstrated that MdMYB308 suppresses the expression of anthocyanin structural genes and anthocyanin synthesis.MdMYB308 plays a significant role in suppressing anthocyanin synthesis under high temperatures and has significant potential for application in breeding heat-tolerant red apples.关键词
