摘要

Abstract

Li-ion battery may cause serious security accidents due to thermal runaway during storage,logistics transportation and operation.Early monitoring and warning of thermal runaway are extremely crucial.A systematic overview of the causes and gas generation mechanisms of thermal runaway in Li-ion battery is provided.Moreover,the classification,technical characteristics and research status of Chinese patent technologies for monitoring thermal runaway in Li-ion battery are analyzed from the perspective of patents.Compared to traditional security monitoring factors such as temperature,voltage,internal resistance and current,monitoring the types and contents of characteristic gases released inside the battery is more conducive to achieve early warning of thermal runaway.Using gas-sensing technology to monitor at least one characteristic gas in real time,such as CO2,CO,H2 and so on,has become a research and development hotspot for warning thermal runaway.The development of gas-sensing technology is of great significance to expand the leading advantages of Li-ion battery in the fields of new energy vehicles and large-scale energy storage.
