Abstract
Pt-based catalysts have the role of efficiently catalyzing the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),which are key materials for large-scale commercial application of fuel cells.Mesoporous carbon(MC)materials with abundant oxygen-containing functional groups are prepared by air-assisted combustion of protonate[pPDA][2HSO4]under high temperature environment.Then the Pt particles are loaded on MC carriers by ethylene glycol reduction of chloroplatinic acid,finally,high temperature treated in a mixed atmosphere of hydrogen and argon,to obtain the mesoporous carbon catalysts load with Pt particles(Pt/MC)with high efficiency in catalyzing ORR.The prepared Pt/MC achieves a half-wave potential of 0.898 V(vs.RHE)and an electrochemically active area of 96 m2/g in catalytic ORR,with the half-wave potential and electrochemically active area 0.011 V more positive and 10 m2/g higher than that of commercial Pt/C catalysts,respectively.The power density of the prepared Pt/MC in membrane electrode test reaches 1 041 mW/cm2 under 0.65 V,which is 83 mW/cm2 higher than that of the commercial Pt/C catalyst.关键词
