Study and Optimization of Direct Secondary Advanced Dewatering of Dewatered Sludge After Fenton Oxidation

Abstract
The Fenton reagent oxidation method was applied to condition dewatered sludge for direct secondary advanced dewatering,and the effects of dosage,H2O2/Fe2+(molar ratio),dosing method,initial pH value and initial moisture content on the performance of secondary advanced dewatering,as well as the conditioning mechanism were discussed.The results showed that Fenton oxidation could effectively degrade organic compounds and promote advanced dewatering.The optimum Fenton's reagent dosage and H2O2/Fe2+(molar ratio)were 6%~9%·wb and 2∶1,respectively.The efficacy of the Fenton oxidation improved if H2O2 was added in multiple steps.Pre-acidification of the Fenton reaction was not required to avoid precipitation of Fe3+in the dewatered sludge.In addition,the initial moisture content did not affect the final water content.After preconditioning,the dewatered sludge could be injected directly into the plate-and-flame filter press without dilution,and the final moisture content decreased to below 55%after squeeze.The technology of direct secondary advanced dewatering was achieved for dewatered sludge.关键词
