Abstract
Objective:To investigate the related factors of knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP)on respiratory tract infection prevention and treatment among caregivers of preschool children with respiratory tract infection,and to provide reference for the prevention and control of respiratory tract infection.Methods:From April to July 2024,1 804 caregivers of preschool children with respiratory tract infection were recruited in the urban area of Shanwei.A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate their KAP on the prevention and treatment of children's respiratory tract infection.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to screen the related factors affecting the KAP scores.Results:A total of 1 804 questionnaires were collected,and 1 542 were valid,with an effective rate of 85.5%.The scores of KAP of 1 542 respondents on prevention and treatment of respiratory tract infection in children were(9.8±2.6),(20.3±2.6)and(20.6±2.9),respectively.There were significant differences in the KAP scores among different genders,family roles,occupational categories,education levels and family income groups(P<0.05).There were also significant differences in the knowledge and attitude scores among different age groups(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the KAP scores were higher in those whose caregivers were mothers(OR=6.312,95%CI:1.575-25.304),employees of enterprises(OR=5.551,95%CI:1.064-28.955),those with high school or technical secondary school education(OR=7.451,95%CI:2.180-25.464)or college education or above(OR=11.389,95%CI:3.036-42.727).Conclusion:The KAP of caregivers of preschool children with respiratory tract infection on prevention and treatment of children's respiratory tract infection is related to the caregivers'gender,family role,occupation,education level and family income.The KAP scores of caregivers who are mothers,employees of enterprises and have higher education level are higher.关键词
