Abstract
This paper utilizes the panel data from various industries in China from 2000 to 2021 to empirically examine the impact and underlying mechanisms of digitalization on China's participation in global value chains.The study findings are as fol-lows:Digitalization has a significant positive impact on China's participation in global value chains,and this conclusion remains robust after a series of robustness checks and endogeneity tests.From the perspective of industry heterogeneity,digitalization has a greater impact on enhancing the global value chain participation of China's service industry compared to the agriculture,mining,and manufacturing industries.In terms of input heterogeneity,the contribution of digitalizing service inputs to enhancing China's participation in global value chains is greater than that of digital product inputs.The mechanism test results indicate that digitali-zation promotes China's participation in global value chains by reducing trade costs and enhancing resource allocation efficiency.关键词
