Abstract
Objective To study the effect of Kouqiangbao on ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP).Methods A total of 82 patients with mechanical ventilation admitted to the comprehensive ICU of Ganxian District People's Hospital from May 2020 to October 2023 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into control group(41 patients)and observation group(41 patients)by random number table method.The control group was treated with routine oral wiping,and the observation group was treated with Kouqiangbao washing on the basis of the control group.The oral health status[Oral Hygiene Index-Simplified(OHI-S),plaque index(PLI)],VAP occurrence,clinical adverse events,mechanical ventilation time and ICU hospitalization time were compared between the two groups.Results The scores of OHI-S and PLI in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the scores of OHI-S and PLI in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of VAP in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of clinical adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The mechanical ventilation time and ICU hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Kouqiangbao can improve the oral hygiene of ICU patients with mechanical ventilation,reduce the risk of VAP,reduce the occurrence of adverse events,shorten the mechanical ventilation time and ICU hospitalization time.关键词
