摘要

Abstract

Breathing valves are important safety ac-cessories for storage tanks,and the development and application of low-pressure breathing valves are key to avoiding tank collapse or swelling accidents.A coaxi-al steady flow,independent dual outlet breathing valve body structure was designed to address the situ-ation where the overpressure value of most breathing valves used in China was≥40%.A gravity breathing valve overpressure fluid solid coupling calculation model was established,and the pressure/vacuum end take-off process of the breathing valve was simulated and experimentally studied.The results showed that:①The pressure end/vacuum end completed the take-off within 0.34 s and 0.41 s respectively,and the take-off process of the pressure valve disc showed an acceleration linear gentle trend,while the take-off process of the vacuum valve disc showed a linear gen-tle trend.② The prototype developed based on simula-tion results showed that due to the large surface rough-ness,the friction loss of the airflow increased.When the overpressure value was 10%,the measured average air flow rates at the pressure end and vacuum end were 1 820 m3/h and 902 m3/h,respectively,with errors of 1.6%and 2.6%from the calculated values,meeting the requirements of the rated air flow rate.The calcula-tion results of the overpressure flow field of the breath-ing valve were relatively accurate,which can provide guidance for the design and calculation of other sizes of breathing valves and emergency relief valves.
